All, I have a safety Induction day coming along soon and I have an hour slot to fill to try and add some fun and excitement to a shutdown Induction day. I shall be covering site safety requirements earlier on in the day but also have to spend an hour or so in a more light hearted manner whilst still engaging with the audience. This will take place in a local theatre and there will be approximately 400 attendees on two separate days. The Induction is for a three week shutdown on a top tier gas processing plant. I have my own ideas but is there anybody out there who may have some interactive, fun ideas they could throw my way. In the past we have had a safety who want to be a millionaire and quizzes. Any ides will be appreciated.

Hazard awareness, observation test; point out the obvious or not so obvious hazards in given images. How about an inspiration video? I remember watching the video about Ken Woodward... http://kenwoodward.co.uk/kens-accident/Good luck Pete

Yes also look for the video by Jacobs; 'Kate's story' which is on that there video sharing website - YOU know which one I mean :-) it is both powerful and emotional and really does get the message over - I shared this with our workforce the first day back after Christmas - all was quiet afterwards.
