Hi
Quick Query
We have komatsu teleporters on site.
As sometimes mirrors get damaged our garage fixes smaller type mirrors to the Komatsu .These mirrors seem to be a smaller size than the original mirrors
Is there specified guidance on what size mirrors should be on a komatsu Teleporter . Front mirrors and back mirrors
Kind Regards Boyleblue

Best guidance is the manufacturer's own spares - any less than this and you could be reducing visibility for the driver.

I did not know what a teleporter was, until I googled it. Was a little disappointed it did not involve being beamed up

I think he means a telehandler-type fork truck?

boyleblue,
I'm sure Komatsu spend a good amount of time/research on designing their mirrors to provide good vision and minimise the blind spots during operation. I expect the Komatsu mirrors are not flat-glass, there will likely be some curvature to suit the dimensions of the vehicle and provide the best view of the sides and rear of the vehicle.
So, if the design curvature is not in the mirrors fitted by your garage, as boblewis said above, they could be reducing visibility for your driver.

find out the model number and search equivalents. it's not uncommon for plant manufacturers to licence build others designs to bolster their own product ranges. If you can find a carbon copy with a different badge on it it might open up cheaper spares options.
