Certified Engineer (CE) Scheme through Government?
Rank: Super forum user
|
Good Afternoon
Hoping this will make some sense and someone can point me in the right direction....
I do a little H&S work for a small Engineering Company - just getting him through CHAS at the moment.
He has mentioned a new scheme "CE"?? where he needs to prove his Engineering competence or something before he can fabricate anything.
He said that this has commenced but has anyone got any info / link I could look at please?
Thanks
SW

BS EN 1090 - parts 1 and 2 Its a standard that came in to effect fully in July this year, relates to the manufacture of structural steel (includes Aluminium and stairs etc), supply of steel, fabrication and modification. Have a look at British Steel Construction Association and others sites for info.
regards
James

Be careful of the scope of applying the CPD though, as it does not overlap, with, for example the MD.
