My employer is looking to send 2 employees on an Accident Investigation training course and has specified that he wants this to be an IOSH accredited course because its more indepth and because Client have more confidence in consultants with IOSH accredited training.

While there has been some talk over the discussion forums about this I cannot seem to find any such courses after doing a search on the internet.

Does anyone happen to know if there are any such courses, the training provider's name, etc, etc. We are based in the east midlands so a local provider would be preferred.

Can anyone shed any light? Many thanks in advance.

Regards

Jamie

I think IOSH did previously accredit such a course, but I found nothing a few months back when I looked into it. But I did find this:

http://www.neucom.eu.com/products.asp?cat=24

the above is an online Certificate course for only £135 and includes membership to IIAI.

IIAI also do training but its in the south:

I didnt end up doing either, but I'd like to If I had the opportunity. I think these courses will be at an excellent level of detail, give them a ring and talk, they nice people.

If you apply for associate membership with IIAI it is £45 a year and the online course is free. I did the course- it wasn't bad- takes about 8 hours and a multiple choice test at the end. The course is then changed into a credit for if you want further training with them.

I did the IOSH course run by Ian Langston (this company) it was very demanding but interesting, I would also recommend him.

The online test is just part of the IIAI course you are required to complete the on line assessment prior to attending the course which is very thorough and in depth it is delivered by Professional Industrial Accident Investigators who are accredited Expert Witnesses for courts.
I attend the course with others from a Construction company and got a lot out from it.
Neucom seem to be the main providers for IIAI.

There have been several this training posts previously for this training.
