I am aware that construction sites incorporating timber frame structures are considered high risk and require additional fire prevention and precautionary measures to be in place during construction (as recomended by the UKTFA) and already have this guidance.
I am struggling to find any fire guidance specific to cross laminated timber construction projects. Could someone please advise if the general requirements of UKTFA general timber frame guidance is still applicable for CLT projects or is there some specific guidance out there for this material ?

Thanks.

I am not sure about UK legislation regard this but isnt CLT fire resistant? Therefore not classed as a timber frame structure per se. I could be way wide of the mark but that is my understanding!

Doesnt appear to be fire resistant from what I have been reading. Also came across this

I agree with you though, I didnt think it was in the same class as general timber frame, thats why I thought there may be some specific guidance somewhere.

As I said I am not certain. I know we used some in a modular building (quite small) and it was certified fire resistant to 30 minutes. I would have to go back and look at the certification again. It may be a post laminate treatment to gain fire resistance. There was no fire risk associated with the building so I didnt pay too much attention to it from that point of view!

Note to self: always read the fine print :)
