I am at large retail depot, can anyone shed any light on moving milk cages by MHE if so what, RA, restrictions etc We tried 6 cages today on PPT and was totally unstable , in fact milk was spilled. Is there a bracket like easy fit clamp or something that would keep cages locked together and stable, rather than large strap? Or is there a specialist pump truck suitable for milk dollies for safer stable movement?

Manually we limit people to move only 1 cage at a time, (SSoW state that) others we know move more? Moving 2 or 3 cages difficult to control, stop also increases risk if finger traps, nips, crushes also manual handling back injuries etc

Any advice, links , past experiences most welcome, thanks in advance.

BT Rolatruc unimover is similar to the mastermover, There is a PPT/attachment which is a cage clamp essentially, speak with your MHE provider they should be able to assist.

From experience in the industry - over 12 years, the problem is not moving the trolleys, the problem is once they are moving - stopping them.

Like has been said BT Rolatruc do have PPT with extended forks but once you stop the PPT the trolleys continue to roll forward. We also used a bespoke plate. But on most occasions reverted back to manual handling.
