How about driver fitness, driving documents etc. Beware of unintended consequences with trackers; we fitted them to try and improve our asset management, and then we found that not all of our drivers were (apparently) driving as they should all the time. One of our sites had anticipated this and had done some extensive prep with their drivers, effectively getting them all on board and working as a team to improve performance; they actually have a leader board with live data showing the best driving performance with everybody competing to get all their indicators in the green. Other sites have not done such a good job.... John

you shouldn't be using a mobile when driving, and we state that though hands free kits are available to buy anywhere we do not recommend using them while driving

We forbid using them while driving for work. Another item for a company procedure - we review total mileage annually and any individual showing above a threshold is offered advanced driving training and/or re-education about the joys of train travel depending upon whether we think their job warrants the mileage to be done by driving.

Mark, I've sent you some info on PM - there's also a good ROSPA video and guidance on winter driving on one of our recent blogs at http://goodtogosafety.bl...how-to-stay-on-road.html
