Dear All Our onshore and offshore electrical switching rooms does not have Dielectric mat, i am looking for specific section and standards that clearly stipulate the requirements, seem the specifications for NFPA 70E is not clear ..Is it mandatory based on NFPA 70E or just recommend a good practice..Any other specification ? Any help highly appreciated SHV

HSG85 reccommends the use of suitably rated dielectric matting when working on switchgear however I doubt its permanant placement in switchrooms is mandatory. regards

Thanks Paul The API 14F specification of offshore installations also mentioned: should be provided in front and back side of switchboards However i am still looking SHV
