Insurance companies always search for anything to disallow a claim so be careful. A friend of mine had an accident with a split in his wiper blade and they quashed his claim even though it wasn't even raining.

I have used Hiscox for the last few years & like the idea of being able to talk to somebody if I have an issue. They are very flexible &, in my opinion, competitive for price (I also have my PL with them).
Good luck with your new venture!

Have a look at IOSH Extras as PI Insurance is inlcuded (amongst the number of benefits/ deals), I believe through Trafalgar Insurance, at a discounted rate for members.

Austin, I use Blackfriars for PI insurance.
Check any policy for what it does NOT cover e.g. it will likely not cover advising on working with asbestos, so if you expect to do this then a policy review would be necessary.
I don't advise on working WITH asbestos, but I do asbestos awareness training. I checked with Blackfriars on this and after some explanation they were happy to include this activity within the policy at no extra charge.
