Hi,
Does anyone have an up to date powerpoint presentation on the changes to CDM2007 to CDM2015?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can assist.

Tony, either no one has one or they are not prepared to share it. Have you checked out the HSE website to see if there is anything useful?

I do have one prepared, but it is somewhat specific to my own employer's perspective. I suggest any ppt. needs to include information about the 7 key changes:
1. CDM-C replaced by Principal Designer 2. New threshold for Client appointment of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor (> 1 contractor) 3. A Construction Phase Plan for all Construction Sites (a proportionate approach)
4. Revision to current Notification criteria to align with TMCSD 5. Duties extend to domestic Clients (requirement of TMCSD) 6. Removal of explicit competency requirements 7. Simplified structure to Regulations. Targeted Guidance. Removal of ACoP.
I'll reserve my own thoughts on the revisions, new draft guidance etc. for now...........!

& don't forget to note that CDM is not a be all law it is but 1 law among many that can apply to a construction site all of which a client etc. needs to comply with, so the site management system needs to account for the other laws especially with regards to having adequate management systems in place along side a competent H&S person

Having been to a CDM presentation today from the HSE (who were unable to give a copy of the presentation) they were keen to point out that the CDMC role has not been replaced by the principal designer role - they are two different (but similar!) roles.
The CDMC role is gone and the PD has to; coordinate the design stage of the project and act as a conduit between the design & build teams.
Other CDMC duties should be subsumed by the PC.
