Does anyone have any knowledge/experience of the dangers of using infra red ceiling lights
as a heating source for a retail warehouse.

Infrared ceiling lights are just another hear source, like those overhead gas burners. As they are a direct heat source they tend to warm up then areas directly underneath them but can leave other parts of the building cold ( like the floors) . This leads to workers with hot heads and cold feet.
A pain but not ‘dangerous’ per say.
Do you have a specific issue?

Hi, thank you for responding. We need to put an overhead heating system in our retail warehouse where goods are sorted and distributed to our charity shops. During the recent old spell we couldn't let our volunteers work in the warehouse as it was so cold. Need to source a good heating system and thought overhead infra-red heating would be a good option? Portable heaters are not an option.
