Hi All, Could some one explain to me how a crane jib is or is not meant to be attached to the forklift mast ? The one we have onsite is attached by chains round the mast is this compliance or non compliance ? Any comments to this will be greatly appreciated Mike

I'd have thought a retaining bar more appropriate, e.g. http://www.euroquip.net/...orklift_attachments.html If the jib is on the forks. Other jibs can be attached direct to the carriage. Small units can be clamped to the forks.

Hi Ron , Thanks for your reply . If the jib is on the forks does there need to be attachment to the mast of the forks or is the attchment the through the forks apple enough for lifting ? Mike

I think you'd have to get in touch with the accessory supplier for a definitive answer but from what you describe then a retaining bar at the back of the forks would seem appropriate.
