I have a friend who is due to retire at a relatively young age (I'm not envious at all - honestly!!). In his current role he is a fully qualified first aid trainer and has been carrying out first aid training for a number of years as an 'employee'.
He is considering using his experience and knowledge in this field to provide training on a 'self employed' basis. As I run a small H & S consultancy business, to assist him, I am considering advertising his services through my business and facilitating the training arrangements on his behalf.
Is anyone aware of any potential pitfalls that may arise if we go down this route? Any other comments or advice would be welcome.
Regards
FH

I would ensure his training certification is all up to date and that he will be delivering to the new regulated first aid format through Safecert or SQA. Very important to check that his liability insurances are checked and in place. If (only if) there were to be any problems or negative feedback, this could reflect badly on your own organisation as you are going to be the ones promoting his services.
Regards,
B

Great idea
And with all due respect; treat the venture as strictly a business venture not as a friend working with a friend so U need to ensure that U have all things in place to protect your business & yourself
All should go well as this is not an unusual situation
