At a local college, there is a sign for one of the assembly points in case of fire. This is attached to a wall about eight feet from the floor. When it was first put up it was clearly visible. Following the erection of a new building, this assembly sign, which has not been moved, is now partially obstructed by large metal bars which extend above the height of the sign. Also the ground below the sign is not level and is not suitable to stand on. Are there any regulations about the display of assembly signs Please note I have no connection with the college only seeing the sign when I pass it on the bus.

We don't have any signage at the fire assembly point (not least because we don't own anything at the fire assembly point to which to attach a sign).
