Afternoon All,

I am now turning my attention to updating and overhauling the response plan for potential spills that may occur on our site. Is there anyone who would be willing to sign post me to any good links/templates so I can have a look and then form a form/template for my company that is specific to our needs?

We have mainly oil to contend with so I know I will need to consider bunding, interceptors, drain covers etc etc. But also to see what training criteria I need to be thinking about as well in order to sit down with my training officer to discuss an appropriate training plan for spill response as well.

Any help/sign posting would be appreciated.

I can help you out.

As a note tho, when I help customers with SRP I like to see the site, direction flows and location of drains are important factors to consider

Hi,
Have you had a look at The global oil and gas industry association for environmental and social issues (IPIECA) http://www.ipieca.org/library
Lot of their document are for offshore but not only. They have guidance on different topics such as:
- Inland Response: Aquatic Environments
- Oil spill exercises
- Oil spill waste minimization and management
- Oil spill response training
- In Situ Burning of Oil Spills
- Oil spill responder health & safety

Hi
Drop me a private message with your email & I'll send you a training pack I put together for a manufacturing site. You can adapt to suit if you think its of use. The training has to be preceded by a general hazardous substance / COSHH awareness course
