Hi All

Now that we are a couple of months into the new CDM 2015 regs. I am looking to see what approach other people have adopted to routine maintenance jobs in facility management.

Is there a generic approach (Personally I consider every job could be different)

Any comments would be appreciated

Regards

In short, you need to come to a practical solution as routine repairs and maintenance work does not fit well with the new provisions contained in CDM 2015. The FM contractor could be deemed the PC and PD for all the work they undertake. Where there is more than one contractor involved they would need to prepare a CPP and adopt the duties of the PD e.g. prepare a H&S file. For both the FM contractor and client I think this would work and is a sensible solution.
