Hi Everyone,
Has anyone got a good set of toolbox talks I could pinch and modify.
I'm starting to loose faith in CITB's they are far from user friendly and pricing themselves out of the market with £23 per user or £4000 for 50 user license even though you could register the same number for £1150.
Thanks in advance

with all due respect make your own as they are then specific to U and yours [this takes a very short time to do] involving the workforce as ownership is then present and such talks should be short sharp and sweet etc. and presented by supervision not the H&S bod

Tony,
I'm with bob on this matter.
Buying or copying toolbox talks, you run the risk of some of the content being not applicable to your staff's jobs, and their attitude will be 'this is rubbish, can't we have a talk that's specific to our jobs?'
Yes borrow anything you can to create a template, but then make it specific with photos of your workplace where possible, and reference to procedures and tools that you have.
As the safety person, I usually offer to conduct toolbox talks, this is because staff will often pay a bit more attention when I'm there - in some companies staff are too 'familiar' with their supervisors and either don't listen or see his toolbox talks as a chance for having a laugh, and they get no value from them.

Do a bit of both? Free generic TBTs are OK eg on things like housekeeping, but you should IMHO have "local" TBTs. What is good for sparkys may be of no use to lab staff, or admin staff etc. So........why not get the managers / supervisors etc to write some of them for you? After all they will be delivering them..................won't they?

Slightly of centre here people. Im looking for the best way to deliver TBT's to our remote wrokforce. We have been sending them out on a weekly basis via email. I know this is not the usual way to conduct them, but due to geographical locations of staff it near impossible to gather the troops all together on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis. Looking for a bit help on this. Thanks in advance

Knowles have you considered using Skype or similar and doing it as a conference call? At least that way it allows questions etc to be asked/answered and for you to see who is attending - the worry of sending out an email to cover it is you don't know if they actually bother to read it?
I'm with the previous ocmments on the original post - use a template for the asic layout but use in-situ in-house photos etc that the staff can relate to - make it your toolbox talk rather than a generic one - likely to get more interest/buy-in that way (I'd also agree with getting help/feedback from supervsiors and/or staff in terms of content)

I am also with Bob, make your own then they are specific to your work. Would you use someone elses policy statement?
