Hi everyone
Any help and guidance greatly appreciated. I have just been called for an interview next week with a large hospitality and catering company and I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips and advice on questions to ask relevant to the role and also what to expect in terms of potential questions from interviewer
The role encompasses supporting and assisting managers of shops and hotels with health and safety advice and guidance. I know this sounds a bit vague but what I am really looking for is some stand out responses to standard questions so that hopefully I can stand out from the crowd!!
Thanks everyone

Most employers (at least the bigger ones) use competency based interview techniques, where they spell out in the application form what they are looking for e.g. "Good at face to face communications" or " Can produce policies and procedures" etc. What you need to do is to identify examples when you have done something along those lines: "I organised regular tool box talks with the shop floor" as an example of the face to face stuff. memorise a little spiel for each point(competency) for the interview. if it is not spelt out on the application form, go to the job description and try to tease out some competencies from that. if you still don't have anything, contact the employer and ask for an informal chat about the job on the phone.
