Does anyone know of a company that will let me register to undertake the Nebosh Fire NFC1 exam and NFC2 practical without having to pay for full course attendance?

I have all the course material! I just need to be able to sit he exams somewhere in December.

It is very unlikely that any exam centre would let you - what's in it for them?

Likely you would have to register as a DL student as a minimum. Also, not sure if NEBOSH allow it, I believe that you to be registered with a course provider (unless you are a resit).

Of course you can. Any registered NEBOSH training centre will allow you to only take the exams.

If any refuse you (and some will to prevent their pass rates from dropping) you should contact NEBOSH and report them.

What's in it for them? was asked. Some may charge you an administration fee.

I repeat, you will struggle to find someone. I do not believe that NEBOSH would take any action. NEBOSH "do not like" people to take exams without being formally taught. In my experience.

You can't be suggesting that you do not have to attend a training course to sit the exams. We could all sit read the materials and then sit an exam. I don't think NEBOH would allow that, but I stand to be corrected.

You probably can and it might be worth looking on the NEBOSH website, but personally I would attend the course. i have done this course and feel there is a lot there that you can't just transfer from a book to the real world- talking about experiences and practical examples is worth so much. I would at least consider attending a course or do it online at the very least.

The answer is you can't self study and this is on the NEBOSH website under FAQ

You are all wrong....

You CAN self study or even have a computer teach you (e-learning) for any NEBOSH certificate qualifications, in which the OP states NFC1 & 2. You do-not need to have a course provider for studying but you will need to go-to an accredited centre for testing.

However, you cannot self study the Diploma qualification.

NEBOSH will take action if a testing centre refuses someone to take a NEBOSH certificated examination. In my experience.

Don't think they (NEBOSH) ever have, or would, take action. As an experiment try ringing say 3 exam centres and ask for exam only, then tell us the results. If they say yes, then tell us who they are, so that we can sit the exams! eg I haven't studied the oil and gas cert, but I think I could pass the exams...............you get the point

Well NEBOSH must be hiding the fact it can be self taught, as it doesn't say it in the leaflet on the website. It would be a bit underhanded of NEBOSH not putting it in.
