Morning all, Bit of background: nearing the end of a short contract with an automotive supplier in South Wales, and so back in the hunt for a (decent) job. I'm GradIOSH / AIEMA with NEBOSH Cert and Post Grad Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Management. Ideally I'm after full time employment in the S Wales / SE Wales region, but have to be a little flexible. Anyone know of any really helpful / useful contact within any employment agencies? Just though I've really got nothing to lose by asking have I? Thanks in advance Pseudonym

Thought I'd have one more go folks! Does anyone know of any good, quality recruitment agencies that might have any (decent) H&S jobs going in the South Wales region? Anyone?

You could try shirley parsons- they seem to cover most of the mainland.

I don't think people are ignoring you they just don't have an answer. I'm looking at the moment, and in the past some agencies have had my details but nothing ever came of any of them. So this time sticking to Internet searching and trying to work out the company to apply direct. A lot of company's will not pay agency fees for finding people. There is one I would avoid now that begins with a "P" that advertised a job, I contacted them they had all my details. Then told I was too late that job had gone. Two months later they are still advertising it, contacted them again to see if the person had not worked out. Told that the job had gone and they had forgotten to remove the job. I remained on their site for some time. Info harvesting only. Stick to Internet and things like linkedIn. Sorry, best of luck anyway even though you may be a competitor. Chris

Chris42, I think I know who you mean - does seem that some agencies (or could be employers) do 'play a game' now and again. Thought I'd ask, just in case anyone knew of anybody that had proved really helpful (and more importantly) useful. Don't worry about competing mate! I know form previous experience, before signing up for this role, that there are a lot of well qualified and capable people out there job hunting - every time one of them pips me to a job I try and convince my self that it's one less to compete with for the next job!!!
