Hi all

Just a confirmation required please . I am correct in that using NDT application of ultra sonic and magnetic particle does not require any form of notification and is in fact based around COSHH only ?

Thanks

Magnetic or ultrasound NDT aren't relevant to COSHH either.

Agree - ultrasound & magnetic NDT are nothing to do with CoSHH, as such.

There maybe other COSHH materials around though - dusts, oils/lubricants, surface coatings etc that might need cleaning/removing when preparing the NDT inspection - which may have COSHH implications.

The flourescent penetrants used in the process would come under COSHH but IIRC they are relatively safe.
