Hi all, I have full top management commitment to look at our safety leadership activities for next year and was wondering if you had any additional ideas to the below to help our leaders visibly demonstrate their safety commitment and beliefs: - Formal management pledges to our safety core value - Planned and prepared safety meetings with the projects and unplanned dedicated site safety visits - Briefs/Interpretations of safety topics by managers through email in standard format - Management participation in walkthroughs - Safety Moments before each meetings - Safety Conversations with individuals when opportunity arises - Short Mgt led talks at the start of HSSE training as to their expectations on course participants Can you share any experiences you have had that you know worked in your environment? Anything else I can try out for our engineering consultancy? Thanks

Don't underestimate the power of a reward (not huge prizes) and recognition scheme to entice good behaviour (which leads to good habits) from people. This will aide to empower others to think of best practice safety ideas and lead to overall performance improvements.

We used indg147 as quoted by Ray as a gap analysis tool and developed an action plan from it. The IOD imprimatur on the title page really sells it to the board, John
