Can anyone advise me if Japanese law has an equivalent to the Management of Heath and Safety at Work Regs and COSHH regs.

what a great question and a great answer - I am going to add to my CPD as well. Goto - don't forget IOSH has links with JISHA http://www.jisha.or.jp/english/ through or global connections. Are you working or going out there? Our International Team at the Grange might be able to help with some names and introductions. Steve

There is an ILO Global Database on Occupational Safety and Health Legislation known as LEGOSH The ILO Global Database on Occupational Safety and Health Legislation (LEGOSH) provides a picture of the regulatory framework in most member countries, of the main elements of OSH legislation, including OSH management and administration, employers’ duties and obligations, workers’ rights and duties, OSH inspection and enforcement, among others. http://www.ilo.org/dyn/legosh/en

Thank you all for replies to date. Reason for the original question is that I have recently started working for a Japanese owned company in the UK and I was trying to get a handle of their laws compared to UK legislation especially if anyone from Japan needs clarification. Hence the inquiry about COSHH.
