Hi All

After some info please. Do any chemicals gurus out there know if the dangerous substances preparations and chemicals regulations have been repealed now that the CLP regs are in force ?

I am not sure if there is a relationship between them

Thanks in advance

The Dangerous Preparations Directive and the Dangerous Substances Directive were implemented in GB by the series of CHIP Regulations, CHIP 4 being the last up to 1st June 2015.

As of 31st May the CHiP Regulations were repealed in the UK which simultaneously withdrew enactment of the Dangerous Substances and Dangerous Preparations Directives.

The REACH regulation EC 1907/2006 supported by the CLP regulation EC 1272/2008 now cover all chemical (substance and mixture) classification and labelling. Safety Data Sheets are described by EU 2015/830 - this latter item replacing EU 453/2010 which was also withdrawn on 31st May although there is a caveat that any SDS prepared and not subject to revised classification remains valid until 31st May 2017
