I have been told that the dutyholder under L8 must me 'named'. Does this have to be a person or can it be a company? Can anyone point me to where this is specified in law/guidance etc?

I am not aware the 'dutyholder' must be named. There could be more than one duty holder which could be an employer, those in control of premises, or others with health and safety responsibilities. In which case how would you know who to name as the dutyholder?

Need not be named, but often helpful. L8 para 28 refers.
