Good morning guys, I've had a fast ball, tomorrow fast. I need to produce a risk assessment for university students taking part in a jobs fair at a local leisure center. The risk assessment needs to cover both organizers and service users. Anybody in position of something similar I could chop and change in order to save time. Thanks in advance, Gaz.

Hi Gasmonkey, You don't mention your involvement - from the Uni or Leisure centre. The uni should do their own, the organisers of their involvement should have it as a routine process - especially if its the student union. I will check my electric memory to see if I have something to hack around - if its not too late ...

Sorry, can't find it, however considerations we looked in a previous task: Electric supply to the stall(s) - checked cables and equipment, Trip hazards - mats, cable runs, Stuff on the stalls - chemicals, sharps, tools, Access and egress for operators and visitors Suitable fire precautions - ties in to stall construction and stuff Supervision - is there a nominated grown up keeping it all in order Construction of the stalls - will they fall over Delivery and collection of equipment, set up and take down Probably a couple not covered there but you get the gist ... Good luck!

Reminded me of situation which I discovered inadvertently - and once you know . . Disability fair. Held on first floor of town hall. One evac chair in the building . . . and it started an hour ago. A couple of my safety team went over there with extra kit (which they were trainers for) and sat around just in case. Words were exchanged later with the 'commissioner' of the event about prior preparation (otherwise known as assessing risk). As she said - well nothing happened . . .
