I don't have any experience of silos, but I do have a passion for preventing further deaths in silos worldwide - I/we can all do that by sharing best practice in online discussions!

I understand from reading other online forums worldwide, that silo deaths are sadly quite common, often it is young men who die or get mangled by augor screws.

Are there any links anybody can share.

What in simple terms can workers do to prevent injury and death in silos?

Any real world experiences?

Follow and comply with the Confined Spaces at Work Regulations, will go a long way to reducing the risks from such work.

Don't go in them, ever
Design the hazards out
I've investigated a number of these which could have been designed so that access was never necessary. As was the case after the event.
Another problem with them is that often potential rescuers also die
