Has anybody any experience with DSEAR Risk Assessment Training, good or bad? I'm looking to procure some training or perhaps procure a consultant but our risks moderate from basic assessment principles.

I'm not looking for a list of training facilities, just peoples experience. I asked something similar a couple of years ago and was delighted to be pointed in the direction of Vulcan Fire Training for FRA assessments so I'm hoping to drop lucky again :)

Thanks in advance

Back when IOSH used to host training at The Grange I did a 3-day DSEAR course which was really good. Pretty sure the trainer came from Baseefa (http://www.baseefa.com/).

I can look out the details when I'm at work tomorrow if you need? The course came with lots of useful material, and the trainer was very knowledgeable - I really felt it was money well spent.

Hi Adale

There are quite a few good ones around, but it depends on what region and also area within DSEAR that you want. I'd recommend looking at IECEx who are the UK leaders in this field - their website has loads of good stuff for this.....

Thank you both very much - I've recently had a bitter experience with one of those providers but hopefully it will be resolved in due course.

Always grateful for the help - many thanks
