Hello, I have to react to a business decision regarding our HSE training programme. This is a direct consequence of the continued downturn in the Oil and Gas sector. Critical safety training remains ring fenced, however for general HSE awareness I have been tasked to investigate CBT training modules for Manual handling, Fire Safety, Lifting equipment, Abrasive wheels, Hand safety, PPE awareness, general RA and so on. I know the limitations of such training. Does anyone have any good examples or leads that I can follow-up on for this type of service? I have looked at Montie Safety Care http://www.safetycare.co...afety-training-packs.asp Thanks.

We have used the BSC Britsafe range of e-learning in the past, it was well received and allows a certain degree of customisation and branding. We have developed our own in-house induction course now which incorporates all the basic H&S stuff so we have turned the Britsafe site off, but it was pretty good and got a good press from our staff and volunteers, John

There's also Learning Nexus - they have a number of H&S courses including Fire / DSE / Manual Handling etc which are RoSPA approved. You also have the ability to build your own courses or access other organisations courses e.g NHS courses if work in healthcare for example. Also have other non safety courses as well such as compliance / data security etc.

IOSH accredited safety training: http://www.safetytrainingcourses.co.uk/chase Mandatory for all our employees - it's a good awareness course that highlights general hazards and risks on work sites.
