Hi, I am wondering if someone could help clarify if ISO 9001 documents MUST be categorised as Processes, Procedures & Instructions?
Or if you can alternatively use the terms 'Standard Operation Procedure' (In place of what I have seen termed as 'Instructions') and Processes (where I have seen 'Procedures' used to refer to process flow diagrams.
Is there flexibility when it comes to how you name your document types?
Really appreciate any ones help here, thank you.

call them Fred, Peter and Mary if you want - at the end of the day so long as your business has addressed the requirements of the standard and as necessary you can all demonstrate Complaints Fred proves customer satisfaction and Contrary Mary records errors to make improvements to Peter policy.
Seriously though one manual containing processes describing the main activities has served well gaining / maintaining ISO 9000 across a number of employers.
The days of a Manual supported by Procedures supported by Processes/Operating Instructions should be as dead as the BS 5750 that spawned them.
Write down what you do and do as you described
