Will someone please explain why, when I have submitted a post and then try to submit a secong post I get the message I cannot post within a certain time. This is very frustrating. Even when I wait the allotted time then try to post I get a similar message with another but different time delay. The captcha also frustrates me as I have a certain dyslexia and always get the letters/numbers wrong at least once each time.

The time delay in reposting is one of the controls that helps prevent multiple SPAM postings, and has been pretty effective - I know we still get some SPAMs, but they are single ones, not literally dozens at a time [I once had the pleasure of deleting some 200+ SPAMs one weekend, after a cyber attack on the IOSH Forums] The enforced delay between posts is about 5 minutes - but unfortunately the system only shows the seconds remaining, instead of minutes and seconds [Hope that makes sense], so one can get frustrated if one doesn't understand the 5 minute rule. As for the dyslexia problem and captcha - I also have similar difficulties with getting the letters/numbers right first [or second] time, but it is a small price to pay for helping to reduce SPAMs, as it discourages computer generated postings. Hope this explanation helps Mod 1

Thank you Moderator 1 you have explained that very well indeed. Once I hit the post button in future I shall go and make myself a cup of tea. Cheers.
