Morning. Is there a recommended time length for an Operative (Production floor) to wear either a Half Mask Respiratory mask or Disposable Mask? Ive been informed an operative should only wear either mask for 30minuntes, before removing mask for 15minutes to allow for their 'pours' to cleanse (or something like that).

Sweat can break the seal of the mask to the face making it ineffective. How long it takes to get sweaty depends on physical exertion, temperature, humidity and the individual. So there isn't a single defined maximum period that will be right for all situations. You might set one based on the conditions you have.

Sweat won't so much as break the seal as such, but can cause the mask to slip and leak.

Have a look at HSG 53 - it gives guidance on continuous wear time for the different types of RPE - disposable half mask respirators on page 29
