Is it a legal requirement to display the name of the erector of a scaffold on the scaffold? I cant seem to find it anywhere if it is.

Local authority permission regimes (Where scaffold is to be erected on public footpaths) will often stipulate that contact details are visible in event of emergency. That requirement will have legal backing.

In general terms, and in the confines of a segregated construction site - no.

Beware of larger banners, including the ironic ones advertising "considerate constructor" initiatives which have significant wind loading effect, or break loose and endanger the public.

Thanks, that's great. I phoned the Scaffold Association (before I read your post) and they confirmed what you say.
