Hi,
Can anyone advise if the First aid regulations used onshore in UK are applicable to vessel works offshore?
Thank you

I believe that the Captain/Master of the vessel has the sole authority on board at sea. It will be under the International Maritime laws (IMO) in regards to SOLAS (Safety of Lives at Sea).
Certain criteria will be placed on a vessel for safety at sea and the provision of first aid/medical will be covered by these.
Not very specific by but a search for SOLAS and IMO should point you in the correct direction.

Not clear what you mean by 'vessel works'. If the vessel is working in connection with an offshore installation or a pipeline in UK waters, then the Offshore Installations and Pipeline Works (First-Aid) Regulations 1989 apply.
But if it's just operating as a marine vessel, then IMO standards would be the minimum requirements, though the specific flag state may have more detailed legislation.
For offshore energy operations (e.g. wind farms), BWEA recommend using the risk based approach linked to onshore UK Regs.
I'm not a great expert, but hope this helps. If you have more specific queries, I can probably find someone in IOSH Offshore Group who knows more, so PM me.
