Not sure if this is the correct forum, but if anyone can provide additional guidance with regard to removal of lead paint it would be appreciated. We currently have a low (1.8% by weight) concentration of lead in paint due for removal by chemical, however if this doesn't work we will need to consider an abrasive method. Having found the 50 µg/dl limit, this applied to blood content, and 0.15 mg/m3 for air content, however, without monitoring is there any way to anticipate what the 1.8% content (was tested as weight by the laboratory) would work out at in the air?

It is ok, for anyone looking at the post, I managed to produce my own formula, based on recommended paint densities versus proposed coverage, dry weights etc. If anyone is interested in the result or wants to have a look at the calculations for comment, please message me :-) - note this was only intended for checking purposes as we wanted to be sure we weren't missing the potential for harm with such low content.
