we are fitting glass units in apartments in London we use a glass boy to move the glass into position, the RAMS are all complete and signed off by the PC, they now want a lifting plan, does anyone have an example of one please

If I recall correctly, HSE's LOLER guidance tells you what to include in a lifting plan.

Terry and for anyone else, the CITB have a template Lifting plan which you can download and complete https://www.citb.co.uk/g.../csk-ge700-2015-gc14.pdf Hope that helps

Gerry Thanks for that, I have never done a lifting plan before, the crane contractor has always done the plan

No worries mate, You will no doubt have to liaise with the Crane Contractor to get all the details you need. the CITB template is a common one which i've used several times with no issues 1st time for everything mate!

Hi Terry, Be careful....... The person who is undertaking the lift plan needs to be competent to do so. Appointed Person! If you are indicating that you have not planned a lift before, would suggest the best thing for you would be to obtain the the services of a reputable crane company and arrange the lift under a "contract lift" where by they will generate lift plan, provide slingers/signallers etc. Best Wishes MAT
