Hello,
I'd like to ask for shared experiences of H&S plans from anyone with a good scope of experience. I have seen different versions of 'plans' for H&S in this element of a management system.
I've seen audit report action tables, review action tables, excel spread sheets intelligently put together in the form of an annual programme including statutory inspections etc.
When conducting an audit of HSG 65 based systems, what form of 'plan' do you find easiest / best portrays an organisations direction in line with their policy? Does the format matter to you?
I'm aware the scale and complexity will vary with the size and nature of organisation as well as their risk profile, but there must be a popular opinion among experts both internal or external to a company. I'm interest to hear any views, relevant to topic of course.
Thanks in advance

177 views and no response probably says it all..there is no preferred method. I personally would use a Word format for an audit report with the recommendation for an Action Plan to be drawn up in whatever medium floats your boat.

Hi Adalle,
I'd recommend taking a look at BS EN ISO 19011:2008 'Guidelines for Auditing Management Systems' and BS 18004:2008 'Guide to achieving effective occupational health and safety performance'.
Both of these standards offer some very good guidance on the subject.
