Hello all,

I am looking for information on the use of electric (battery powered) impact wrenches and HAVS.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Start with the manufacturers operation instructions - somehere in the document will be their accelaration figure for the equipment (under certain conditions of use)

If missing ring the supplier

HSE web site has a calculator based upon the accelaration and your entered trigger times

http://www.hse.gov.uk/vibration/hav/vibrationcalc.htm

Treat this as your BEST case scenario - manufacturers tend to under state accelaration figures (compared to real world testing) using new equipment on favourable substrate
