Hi all,
Do You have any tips for a person who has experience in administration role and has recently achieved IOSH managing safetly cert? Except agencies and websites (linkedin, cvlibrary etc.) where can I send a cv to enhance chances? I am looking for a very basic or supporting role such as a HSE administrator, assistant, trainee or junior.

You could try and write to all the businesses on your local Industrial Estate, but i think if they are looking for somone it will be with experiance, Where have you tried already? Why don't you suit up and visit companies and ask?

Lucas,
What you have gained is just a taste. I suggest you look to somplete the NEBOSH General Cert next - it flows along the same lines as the IOSH MS course so should follow on nicely. Most employers will be looking for this as a minimum rather than the IOSH MS.
Joining IOSH will also show people you are serious and will give you the opportunity to attend meetings with others 'in the trade'.
After that, I suggest you put the word out that you are interested in this as a career to as many people as you can i.e. friends, family, colleagues, etc. as well as all the normal things you are doing. If you want it - go for it.
But an IOSH MS and no experience is unlikely to be enough alone.

I would go through local job pages and perhaps have a look at dual roles- my first role was 50/50 PA and H&S Administrator on maternity cover. Have a think about how your skills can be transferred a bit more into health and safety type roles, and try and adapt your cv/ letters of application to show this off.
