Morning all,
Has anyone had any experience or know of any cases where UK citizens have been investigated by overseas enforcing authorities (HSE equivellent etc)
I work for a company that has service tecnicians that travel worldwide to service machinery that we manufacture here in the UK and am creating a training package on working safely overseas and would like some examples of when enforcing authorities have had to investigate incidents/accidents caused by UK cisitzens performing working overseas.
May be a bit of a long shot, but any examples or info would be great so I can use these examples in the training sessions.

My client informed me that in Italy the enforcement officers might visit my clients construction site, find a non conformance and then issue a him with a fine of 500 Euros. Only to return the next day and repeat the process, making it a revenue generating exercise.

Sorry I cant recall exactly.
Italian Dr's can also charge something like 100 Euros for a certificate that states you are 'fit to work'.
