Environmental Hygiene.  That is the name of the series of documents prefixed by EH

HSG - Health & Safety Guidance

PM - Plant and Machinery

and others

Nowadays, like a lot of acronyms, I don’t think it stands for anything, but originally it stood for Environmental Hygiene and was part of series of such EH documents describing the hazards associated with various substances. Some still exist such as EH 54 on the hazards from welding fume, or EH 44 on workplace dust, but those that described specific substances have now been withdrawn and people are expected to refer to the SDS.
