I was recently told by a H&S consultant that the noise action levels of 80dBa and 85dBA are soon to be reduced another 5dBA.  Has anyone else heard this as I cannot seem to find any information on whether this is true or not.

This would be news to me - the action levels are contained within the 2005 Regulations, so any changes would need new Regulations or some Amendment Regulations. With all the issues over BREXIT at the moment i'm not convinced any of our H&S requirements will be changing anytime soon. Would be very interested to know where your consultant got their facts from
