Hi All

I am trying to sort out the calculation to record my companies incident/accident rate and frequency rate and I aint no Magnus Pike.

Can anyone simplify it for me please?

Hi Baal,

The calcualtions used by myself are the following, however, there are others availabel so choose whatever works best for you.

IFR = Number of INCIDENTS x 100,000 divided by the hours worked

AFR = Number of ACCIDENTS X 100,000 divided by the hours worked

NMFR = Number of NEAR MISSES X 100,000 divided by the hours worked

DIFR = Number of DAMAGE INCIDENTS X 100,000 divided by the hours worked

LDFR = Total no. of LOST DAYS x 1,000 / Total no. of man-hours worked
