Am looking for advice: focussed on requirements (legal and good practice) for transport of welding gases on a vehicle.  So looking at oxygen and acetylene which is incidental activity.  I know / am reading about threshold levels of ADR and understand that full compliance is not needed.

Does signage legally have to be displayed or is this good practice?

Does the driver have to receive formal training to carry gases or can this be down by discussion/in-house training

Will a 2kg dry powder be enough or is this something that is legally required but in reality is going to offer little in value?

Many thanks

Paul

Please refer to BCGA Guidance, avilable free for download, titled, "Guidance for the carriage of gas cylinders on vehicles. Revision 1: 2015"--GN 27.

Provides guidance on safely transporting gas cylinders in order to comply with ADR and provides a method for calculating the threshold quantity for any gas cylinders being carried.
