Hi again,
So things have and are still picking up a bit now with a few really good leads and even an interview or 2 just around the corner which has boosted my confidence and raised my hopes. That coupled with dry January has got me feeling pretty good and positive.
Sorry if this appears tedious and 'blog' like in its approach.

Unless you strike it lucky and come across a job/contract that needs to fill a vacancy asap - then any job hunt will takes 3mths as a minimum, in my experience. Many jobs on the internet I find are old/already filled - these are used as a 'tempter' by recruitment agencies to get a copy of your cv. Any genuine job adverts - by the time you have applied, waited for application closing dates, then cvs are filtered/people selected for interview. Then interview & interviewer internal diaries are sorted out. Then probably waiting for a 2nd interview if you pass 1st interview can take another couple of weeks. Then wait for an offer to be made, return the paperwork accepting the job. If you are currently working, probably at least a month working your notice. SO its easy to see how job applications can take 3-4mths.
