And from the BBC One Show this evening following an article on "Fake News" a supposed investigative piece on these pitches

Yes they found carcinogens in the samples, yes they found heavy metals in the samples - the one that took me by surprise only one sample failed the safety tests applicable to toys!

And this was followed by the demand (no less) that the use of the crumb be ‘proven to be safe’

I’d like to know how anything can be ‘proven to be safe’.
