Hi All

We don't have a CCTV policy in place. So I need to pull something together. Would any of you have a policy or procedure that you would be willing to share that I could use as a starting point?

On a similar issue we have been monitoring an employee who has been caught stealing for resale broken electrical goods. Can we use the CCTV as part of the disciplinary process. We have been told we can't as although we have comprehensive coverage in place (which everybody knows) we don't have a policy stating what it will be used for. Thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

You need the Information Commissioners Office for matters of CCTV in the UK

IMO surely this is more a HR matter rather than a H&S one, or is it more one of HR passing the buck.

I agree CCTV can be useful for spotting safety breaches, but discipline is for Hr to carryout.
