HI all,
Does a register exist whereby you can check if an individual is Tech IOSH, Grad IOSH or CMIOSH? I ask as I am doubting someones credentials.

Could be they have an IOSH status and it has expired I personelly had attained TechIOSH because it looks good on a cv. Now I am in a "permanant position" I have let my membership lapse due to the fact my employer will not pay the annual subscription and me paying it, gives me no further benefits to my job. If I was to move on then I would renew it.

There is no public register so contact Membership Dept at The Grange. They have helped me with such queries before. Take care JohnC

Your user profile suggest that you are an IOSH member yourself, providing this is the case you have access to the members directory in MyIOSH. http://www.iosh.co.uk/MyIOSH/Member-directory.aspx

I'm not on it either....but then I've not "activated my profile" to allow the information to be made public.
I was able to access the list without logging on as a member too.

Neither was I until I realised that it is an "opt in" register! You have to enable the profile yourself from your "My IOSH" pages!

When previously applying for jobs, I have known the prospective employer phone IOSH and ask the question - IOSH have cooperated with such requests.
So the answer is just phone up and ask.

Just to endorse the posters saying you need to talk to Memberships at IOSH. This type of query is bread and butter to them, they are very helpful and you'll get the information you need. I always ring them when appointing new members of staff,
John
