Good morning colleagues

I am interested in maritime safety regulations and how the HASAWA 1974 etc impacts on this type of work environment. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Thanks in advance

Not my main area - but I believe much h&s is covered by SOLAS - Safety of Life at Sea.

http://www.imo.org/en/About/Conventions/ListOfConventions/Pages/International-Convention-for-the-Safety-of-Life-at-Sea-(SOLAS),-1974.aspx

Although elements of PUWER and other legislation applies.

MAIB should be able to give further information.

Hi DHM.

I am the Safety Manager for a large(ish) Statutory Harbour Authority.

When you say 'maritime safety regulations' are you interested in vessel or fixed platform installations. I ask as the legislation is different.

I have been putting together over the last few months a list for my own use of the safety legislation relevant to vessels (Merchant Shipping), which I would be happy to share if you pm me.
