Interview assistance specific to consultancy

Hello all, I'm hoping someone out there has some experience of working for alrge consultancies and would possibly be willing to have 5-10 mins either chatting or exchanging emails. I've been employed consistently over the last 7 years and I've seen some topic areas (that will come up in interview) they simply don't cover in technical circumstances on courses etc. I have experiences and ideas and would like to run them by someone further down this particular career as I see it as being markedly different from internal management & advisory roles. Thanks in advance

STAR
Situation
Task
Action
Result
It works brilliantly and if you stop before each question and drill yourself in STAR it works, it REALLY works...
As for the technical aspect, you are either conversant or you are not, that's why it's important to ONLY apply within the sector you are conversant

Most consultancy job interviews I have attended, they usually ask how many clients/client leads you can bring over.
Or how you will go about generating further sales leads. If you can do a bit of h&s stuff would be a bonus.

Hi all,
thanks for the responses, I'll get to my inbox after this reply. 'Clark', thanks in particular - communication and client facing skills will be top of the list. I've been reciting the STAR method about 10 years, as I said, the areas to be probed will be very different to my in-house management. Ian, your experience and comment are grately appreciated
